VapoCept Formula and Supplement Facts: What 665.5 mg Really Contains

A label can print a weight that is true and still not tell you how much of the thing you wanted is in the capsule. This one is a good example.

Quick answer

The VapoCept label lists seven ingredients and 665.5 mg in total, with no proprietary blend. But the five amino acid entries declare 640 mg and deliver about 536 mg of the amino acids themselves, because some of the weight is the salt each is bound to. The label also leaves out the capsule material and allergens.

The seven lines

What is on the VapoCept label, line by line?

Here is the label as supplied to this site, in the order it is printed. Each line has an amount per capsule. A capsule is one serving, and a bottle has 30.

The seven declared ingredients.

Add them up and you get 665.5 mg: 7.5 plus 18 plus 640. That is the declared total. No proprietary blend hides any figure. That is the best thing about this label, and it is why the rest of this page can use plain arithmetic.

Declared against delivered

Why do 665.5 mg and about 536 mg both appear?

A salt has two parts. When a label says 200 mg of arginine AKG, some of that weight is arginine and some is the other part. Only the arginine is the amino acid that the studies talk about.

Declared weight against the amino acid inside it.

We used the best case in every row. If the malate ratio is lower than 2:1, which is not stated on the label, the citrulline figure falls. Published analysis found that many commercial citrulline malate products fell short of their stated ratio.

Seven names

Is it seven ingredients or five?

Seven names, five substances. Both arginine entries are arginine. Both citrulline entries are citrulline. Splitting one amino acid into two forms is a legitimate formulating choice. It also makes the list look longer than it is.

That matters for anyone searching for brain supplement ingredients, memory and focus supplement ingredients or the best ingredients for a brain supplement. A longer ingredient list is not a better formula by itself. What counts is each substance's amount against the amount that was studied.

The category

What kind of formula is this among brain and memory supplements?

Look at the family, not the front of the bottle. Arginine, arginine AKG, citrulline, citrulline malate and beta-alanine form a well-known set in sports nutrition, often seen in pre-workout products. They are not a typical "nootropic" mix of herbs or vitamins.

The idea behind them is real. Arginine feeds a body chemical called nitric oxide, citrulline turns into arginine in the kidney, and more nitric oxide widens blood vessels. A formulator can argue that better blood flow could help the brain. Beta-alanine does not fit that story. It works on muscle acidity.

What weakens the argument is the dose. At about 341 mg of arginine, about 155 mg of citrulline and 40 mg of beta-alanine, the capsule is roughly 10 to 60 times below the lowest doses we could cite from studies.

Memory studies are thin

The only study this site found with a memory-type score for arginine used 3.32 g a day for four weeks in frail older adults with high blood pressure. For citrulline, no peer-reviewed human thinking trial was found.

At a glance

Key facts

  • Seven named ingredients, 665.5 mg declared in total, no proprietary blend.
  • Seven names cover five substances: two entries are arginine and two are citrulline.
  • Declared amino acid entries: 640 mg. Delivered amino acid: about 536 mg at best.
  • The milligram figures are taken from the seller's written brief. This site never received a photographed panel.
  • Not published: Other Ingredients line, capsule material, allergen statement, citrulline malate ratio, niacin form.
What is missing

What does the VapoCept label not tell me?

  • The Other Ingredients line, so the capsule shell and fillers are unknown.
  • Whether the capsule is gelatin or HPMC, which decides whether it suits a vegetarian.
  • Any allergen statement.
  • The molar ratio of the citrulline malate.
  • Which form of niacin is used.
  • Whether the arginine AKG is the 2:1 compound or another form sold under the same name.
  • Any trial of the finished capsule.

All of these are things the maker knows and could print in a paragraph. If one matters to you, for example an allergy, ask the order desk before you buy.

Check your own bottle

How can I check this formula against my own bottle?

  1. Find the Supplement Facts panel

It should show a serving size of one capsule and 30 servings per container.

  2. Match the seven lines

Compare each amount to the table above. A different figure means a different run, a different product or a brief that was wrong. Tell us if that happens.

  3. Read the small print

Look for the Other Ingredients line and any allergen statement. We were not given them.

  4. Photograph the lot code

The reference supplied to this site is VAP-26/VA-2705, on the base when the bottle carries it.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

What is in VapoCept?

Seven named ingredients per capsule: niacin 7.5 mg NE, calcium 18 mg as carbonate, L-arginine 200 mg, L-arginine AKG 2:1 200 mg, L-citrulline HCl 100 mg, L-citrulline malate 100 mg and beta-alanine 40 mg. The declared total is 665.5 mg.

Is there a proprietary blend in VapoCept?

No. Every ingredient has its own milligram figure on the label, so the formula can be read directly.

Why does the label total differ from the amino acid total?

Some entries are salts. The declared weight includes the part that is not the amino acid. The five amino acid entries declare 640 mg and deliver about 536 mg at best.

Is VapoCept seven ingredients or five?

Seven names, five substances. Two entries are arginine and two are citrulline, in different forms.

What does the label not show?

The Other Ingredients line, capsule material, allergen statement, citrulline malate ratio and niacin form were not supplied to this site, and no photographed panel was supplied.

Is the VapoCept formula a typical brain supplement formula?

It is closer to a sports nutrition set of amino acids than to a herbal brain mix. The idea of more nitric oxide and better blood flow is real, but the amounts are well below those used in studies.

Where we land

Our view

Our reading is mixed on purpose. The label deserves credit: every milligram is printed, which almost no product in this category does. The niacin line is a sensible amount. A buyer can check all of it.

The weak point is not honesty. It is dose. Once the salts are converted, the amino acids add up to about 536 mg, and the studies used grams. We say that as the seller, and we say it because the numbers are on the label for anyone to divide.

If you want to check things yourself, use the table above, check your bottle and ask the desk about the missing lines. That is a better use of five minutes than reading another list of ingredients.
